Sexual Problems - Loss of Male Libido Causes and Cures

One very smart writer said that sex is not a problem, until there is a problem.
The truth is, a healthy male should have a strong libido well into his latter years.

It depends on who you are and how you lived your life, but such male heroes as Picasso, and Charlie Chaplin (to name only two) had very healthy sexual lives well into their 80s!

What is loss of libido and why does it happen and what can be done about it? Read on and inform yourself, and if it applies to you, we hope you find your renewed sexual energy.

Libido. What is it?

Said simply, libido is the urge to have sex (copulate), and is therefore also called sex drive

Libido. How is it Lost?

There are many factors which can contribute or cause themselves a loss of a man's libido. Some of these factors are psychological, some physiological, some environmental, and some infectual.

If a man is exposed to any number (or any one) of these factors, a loss of libido can be anticipated.

In any case, if a man at any age (especially over 50) is experiencing a loss of his libido, he must consult a competent doctor.

Psychological Origins of Libido Loss

Stress and anxiety are two leading culprits in libido loss.

These can be caused by depression and a doctor prescribing antidepressants, and other related medications.

However, depression on its own is enough to cause a general loss of libido, and distaste for sexual activity.

Physiological Origins of Libido Loss

The factors here can be (as mentioned above) libido loss due to medication (called iatrogenic causes).

Obesity is another leading cause of libido loss.

General illness or weakness c an also be blamed, as well as sleep disorders. Not sleeping enough can do great damage to a male libido.

Finally lack of exercise can cause a drop in your natural testosterone (androgen), and with it comes a loss of libido

Environmental Origins of Libido Loss

It has been shown that constant exposure to some negative environmental factors (such as bright lights, noise, or other environmental stressing factors can cause a reduction in libido.

Libido Loss Due to Infection or Illness

Although a man might now know he is infected with some disease or malady, his loss of libido is a good indicator that something is not right. A doctor should always be consulted.

Libido Enhancers – Drugs of ED (erectile dysfunction)

After a doctor has determined the cause(s) of the loss of libido, you may be recommended to take some form of medication to stimulate erection (and make sexual intercourse possible).

The brands of the medication are well known.

There are also some natural medications that contain age-old acceptable ingredients that will stimulate a man's system and help him overcome a libido loss.

Do not however take these herbal medications without consulting with your doctor first.
The herbal remedy will contain such ingredients as Tribulus Terrestris, Ginkgo biloba, and L-Arginine to name a few.

Self dosing and treatment may be dangerous (for example you may have prostate cancer and taking testosterone can make it worse!). If you have a libido loss, see your doctor first.

Finally, your libido loss could be to a general loss of interest in your partner.

Changing a partner, even for a simple one-off encounter may show your libido is alive and healthy.

Ejaculation Control Made Easy- PumpinTthe PC Muscle!

The key to quick, effective, and long lasting ejaculation control is through exercise. Yes, there are all kinds of pills and lotions out there, promising to serve as a premature ejaculation cure, but as is most everything in life, if you want real results, you have to do real work.

Thankfully though, the real work can be made efficient and easy. Through learning capabilities that the internet offers, with easy access to online instructional manuals, we can cut to the chase and find the exact information we need. In this case, ejaculation control can be easily figured out how to be correctly dealt with. One of the main exercises entailed in ejaculation control is training what is referred to as the "PC muscle".

First we need to identify the PC muscle, and there is a simple way to laser target this unique muscle which is vital in training for ejaculation control. Have you ever been urinating, and then suddenly stopped, on purpose? Whether it be a strange sound outside which we've paused to listen to, or we are at a new girlfriends apartment with razor thin walls and we really have to go and the continual splash in the water toilet basin seems to never, never, ever end so out of embarrassment we "manually cut our whizz short"... Well whatever the reason we all have controlled our urination at one point. And guess what? The muscle we used to control our flow, was the PC muscle!

So in order to laser target our ejaculation control PC muscle we simply need to take a leak, and then manually stop at some point. Take careful note of the muscle that you are using when you stop your flow. Then continue to go, but this time reach down there and actually feel the muscle being worked when you again come to a urination halt. Go ahead and shake your new best friends hand, for you have just met, the mighty PC muscle. Praise the PC muscle, for it is a front line soldier in the battle for ejaculation control.

Targeting the PC muscle specifically, does take a little time and you shouldn't proceed on until you've officially "shaken hands" as I like to say. As soon as your confident you've pinpointed it, then you can move on to ejaculation control exercises.

The great thing about the PC muscle is that you can work it by itself. That is, you can work the PC hands free! And you can do it privately. Without anyone knowing, you can do a full on ejaculation control workout in public.

What you want to start out doing is simple ejaculation control static holds. While squeezing or contracting upwards, attempt to simply hold the PC muscle in place in that contracted position. It may be very difficult at first, you may barely be able to bang out a static hold of one second. But keep with it, and shoot for 2 seconds, then 3, and so forth.

Once we become more efficient with ejaculation control holds, we'll want to move on to ejaculation control repetitions, eventually shooting for a continual session consisting of several repetitions, with each one having at least a few seconds of static holds to them. Combining both reps and holds will give us a well rounded and effective ejaculation control workout.

Ejaculation control can actually be a fairly easy endeavor to achieve. The difficult part is identifying and becoming familiar and comfortable with the PC muscle. From that point forth it is just a matter of having a proper workout plan and putting in the time for training.

Florida high schools must allow GSAs to meet

Students at Okeechobee High School in Florida were granted the right to meet on campus to form a gay-straight alliance. U.S. district court judge K. Michael Moore found that GSAs are not "sex-based" clubs, rejecting the school’s argument that the club would violate its abstinence-only education policy.

Yasmin Gonzalez, president of the Okeechobee GSA, called the April 6 verdict “great news.”

"I am so glad that we're going to be allowed to meet on campus just like kids in other clubs already do,” she said in a press release. “Even though I am graduating this year, I now know that by standing up to intolerance today, future students at OHS will benefit from a more open environment and not have to endure the same treatment from our school in the future."

The ACLU represented the students who formed the GSA.

The Associated Press reports that the school district's attorney, David Gibbs, has not decided whether the school will appeal the verdict. "The kids are getting the name they wanted," he said according to the article, "but we're pleased that the students are limited to discussing discrimination issues." (The Advocate)

Get The Truth About Pheromones - Proving Their Existence

Ever get that strange feeling of attraction from sweat, yet, your first impulse is to be repulsed. It kind of draws you in and it's almost as if you can't help being attracted. It's probably human pheromones at play.

Although you cannot smell pheromones, studies in the last half century indicate humans, like animals, have the ability to attract other humans by way of phermones. So what are pheromones? They are best described as a chemical picked up by what is known as a VNO (vomeronasal organ) which is supposed to be located in the nose.

Does a VNO really exist though? You know, phermones have caused great debate ever since it was suggested they play an important role in the way we humans attract one another. The crazy thing is that while there is a strong case establishing the existence of pheromones, the naysayers will still debate it to the hilt. So who is right?

It's been established pheromones exist in the animal world but aren't we humans part of that world too? For example, research shows fire ants believe it or not, get aggressive when they pick up pheromones of a fellow fire ant. Research has been conducted in this area to produce a anti-pheromone if you like, to combat the aggressive nature of these ants. Fire ants are considered a menace in many societies and if a way is found to subdue them then maybe we could control there invasive nature.

Ever wondered why dogs seem to take delight in sniffing each others posteriors? Same theory again... pheromones. In humans, a lot of positive research has revealed some startling information regarding menstruating women and the connection to pheromones. Furthermore, a pheromone has apparently been isolated by researchers from the sweat of men which can have an amorous effect on women.

It wouldn't take long before research would start to translate into possible profits and since the 1980's, human pheromones have been marketed in one way or another as a means of attracting members of the opposite sex or for that matter, members of the same sex, for sexual pleasure.

Products in the form of oils, perfume, cologne or concentrate are now commonplace in the market place although you'll need to go online to get an idea of just how big this burgeoning industry is becoming. It wasn't always like that though, as in the initial phase of pheromone marketing, there was a lot of skepticism to greet this once fledgling industry.

So the question still remains... do phermones really exist? Well, perhaps they do but until research can prove conclusively that they are part of the human make up and the naysayers are convinced once and for all they do, then I guess all we can do is to enjoy the mystery surrounding human pheromones. It's a little like the aliens... are they really out there?

Signorile column in LA Times: Media should have 'outed' Foley

Reporters could have relieved the disgraced lawmaker's repressed sexuality by revealing his orientation and hypocrisy years ago.By Michelangelo SignorileTHE FINGER-POINTING in the Mark Foley scandal has curiously not focused on one particularly powerful player complicit in allowing the Florida Republican to continue his detrimental behavior for years: the American media.By not reporting on Foley's deceitful life for more than 15 years — during which he portrayed himself as a heterosexual politician — the media enabled a man overwhelmed by the destructiveness of the closet to ultimately implode in the halls of Congress. By looking the other way on something that made them uncomfortable — reporting on closeted gay public figures, particularly those who are hypocrites — and by deluding themselves that it's a privacy issue, reporters, producers and editors took part in perpetuating a fiction, one that may well have led to an ugly outcome. To read more, click here.
